The Village Garden is a small garden patio in Redondo Beach, a couple blocks from the beach and near multiple restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Feel free to come by and stay the whole time, arrive late, leave early, or step out during. It will be a casual event, a small-ish (under 40 people) get-together with food and drinks. The actual wedding ceremony will take place prior.
There is no venue-specific parking. However, behind the venue is a pretty big parking lot with metered parking (with a four hour time limit). It can fill up quickly on a Saturday, and we apologize if it requires some searching, but we don’t anticipate it being very difficult to find a spot.
This event is outdoors only. We chose an outdoor venue for Covid safety, but we would also encourage everyone to (1) get tested prior to the event, (2) stay home if you feel any symptoms, and (3) feel comfortable wearing a mask during. We (and probably most people) won’t be masked, but we also completely understand if you would feel more comfortable remaining masked.
We will be providing some food (buffet style) and an open bar with wine, beer, and margaritas.
We will be dressed up for the occasion. But we are not asking anyone else to dress formally if they do not want to. We encourage everyone to dress as they feel comfortable, with the caveat that you might be in photos. Casual attire is perfectly fine. Some guests will be dressed as they would be on any evening out, others in suits and dresses. The weather forecast shows sunny with a high of 74, but the sun will set during, so prepare for the cold, too. The venue is mostly in the shade.
We are not asking for or expecting any gifts whatsoever. However, if you would like to give us something, we ask that you contribute to our future travel plans in lieu of stuff. We signed up for a travel registry here to make it easier.
