Editing Summary

I have worked as an editor in various capacities since 2004, when I read novel submissions for Grey Line Entertainment. From 2006-2012 I also worked in Quality Assurance (mostly for a web-based marketing agency called Genex), which required production pipeline management, proofreading of both copy and design, and simulated user testing. In addition to the work experience below, I have also worked as a contributing editor for Gold Line Press, Watermark Journal, and elsewhere.

	Customer-organized Marketing by Kazuki Nishiguchi. Translated by Joshua Duran-Carlson. One Peace Books, 2021. Provided editorial assistance to translation and copyediting.
	EuropeNow Journal, 2021-2022. Editor. Commissioned features at the intersection of European culture and scholarship. Ex. “An Interview with Simon Strick” and Critical Code Studies by Mark C. Marino.
	The Offing, 2015-2016. Founding Managing Editor. Oversaw website construction and operation. Designed and managed editorial pipeline. Managed editorial staff, arranged author payment, and organized fundraisers.
	Los Angeles Review of Books, 2014-2016. Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief. Noir & Mystery section editor. Managed website backend and editorial pipeline; provided InDesign layout for magazines; worked the copydesk; commissioned authors and arranged payment; fielded pitches; and edited book reviews, essays, and interviews.
	Marry Kiss Kill by Anne Flett-Giordano. Prospect Park Books, 2015. Provided copyediting and formatting.
	Riprap Journal, 2013-2014. CSU Long Beach. Editor-in-Chief. Managed editorial staff, design volunteers, and printing process. Developed social media presence.
